The Markha valley is popular trekking route, adjacent to the Indus valley & the south east of Leh.This is an easy trekking on high altitude. In this area can see & visit the old village & culture. A grey land escape with little vegetation. The people are Buddhist culture and the Domain of the Dalai Lama. The views throughout the trek are superb and the local people are very friendly.
Day 1:
Stok to foot of Stok- la, 3 to 4 hours walk
Day 2:
Foot of Stok –la to Stok –la to Yurutse, 6 hours walk
Day 3:
Yurutse-Ganda-la- Skiu , it is about 7 hours walk.
Day 4:
Skiu - Markha valley, it is 7 hours walk.
Day 5:
valley – Tchatchutse, it is about 6 hours walk.
Day 6:
Tchatchutse- Nimaling, it is about 3 hours walk.
Day 7:
Nimaling –Kongmaru-la- Shang, it is about 8 hours walk
Day 8:
Shang to Hemis
